I tried modelling a new tank model. Here’s the sketch:

I want it to look around 50% blocky/cartoonish, and 50% realistic. So this is how it turned out!

Next-step #

I’m planning to start a new scene/unity project to do a tech study of RTS unit navigation system. Precisely, similar to Beyond All Reason’s navigation system; where human (bot) units have free 360 degree movement, but vehicle units have to move either forward or backwards, they actually have to “turn” to move forward. Tracked vehicles may have 0 turn radius, but wheeled vehicles will have more than 0.

Certain units can climb steep hills, or go into forests, while others cannot.

There is a vision / line-of-sight system.

And many more! I’m sooooooooo excitedddddddd.
