How it started #

Somewhere around late October 2025 I got really into the idea of 3D printing. I’d been watching videos and reading stuff for a while, and at some point I just decided: okay, I’m doing this.

I ended up buying a Bambu Lab A1 with the AMS Lite (so I can swap filaments without constantly unloading), and grabbed some filaments to start with. Nothing fancy, just enough to print stuff and learn what I like.

Printing & CAD #

Since it arrived I’ve been trying to print random things and playing around in CAD. I’m using FreeCAD for now. Steep learning curve, but it’s free and it works.

One of the first silly things I printed was a frog keycap 🐸 for my keyboard. Just downloaded the model from MakerWorld and printed it. Took a couple of attempts to get the settings right. Put it on, and viola!
